Is an eletric supercharger a good thing to buy?

I have been looking around for the cheapest thing i can buy that will give me the best horsepower gain. I have looked around and i can get a supercharger kit for $89.00 shipped. And that is pretty cheap for the 15 to 45 horsepower gain i can get. Has anyone used and electric supercharger and does it really work the way they say?

No. Try a better down pipe.

a) power isn't cheap. Neither are these cars. Don't skimp.

b) electric superchargers make baby Jesus cry. It would be more cost effective to just give me the $89 and I'll crash into the back of your car every time you need that extra 'boost'. In all seriousness, they are POS, if you do a search you'll find it's a pretty common question.

Your money would be better spent letting Igovert500 push you for $50 from behind with his car. He runs a nice little business doing that. But seriously, they do not do anything at all. You would be better off on performance even just buying a K&N air filter.
