I have a 98 malibu. I disabled the trunk button months ago by flipping that switch in the trunk. I always used my key to open the trunk. Now for some reason my key wont turn. Any ideas? Is there a way to take the rear seat down so I can crawl into the trunk and flip the switch back? Thanks

I have a 98 as well. I think I read on here that there really isn't a way to open from the inside. Is there anyway you could take it to a locksmith and see if they could open it for ya.

I found this for ya:

There is no way to fold the seats from inside the vehicle. I believe it sis a safety feature so kids playing in the car can't crawl into the trunk and get trapped.
