New Lancer Commercial.......man

Did anyone see the new Mitsubishi Lancer commercial yet??? oh jesus its horrid, Its a sad sad day for the lancer enthusiast, check it out.

there is a new One in Australia which features the 'whole' new range to the music of "New Radicals' "you get what you give" a.k.a "music" in the mitsu ad.. it rather sucks except for the black Evo VI TME That cruises through..

I think he's referring to the american commercial for the "tame" lancer. i agree it was quite wretched.

so whats the US commercial about?

Well on Saturday b4 labor day I went to the Mitsu dealer in San Jose Stevense creek, Walked up & told them to open up the hood, looked clean & well organized my wife asked do you know when the turbo were coming to the states he said 2 years ok!


Then I asked how much HP is this car producing at the crank?

Dealer said: 120hp.

I said thats very low/ how much at the wheel.

Dealer said: 120hp!

I said how can that be at the crank & at the wheel is diffrent!

Dealer said: it's the same!

I said what are you crazy while my wife started laughing at the guy!

Dealer siad: let me call my manager boy!

I said boy what the f are you talking about your a sales man what the f are you doing on this lot shouldn't you know the car your selling a little better! Im trying no to laugh at the guy!

Manager: Excuse me sir is there a problem.

I said: look sir I want to know how much hp is this car producing at the crank & how much at the wheel please be advised that u loose power going through all the accesories that are on the car ie: alternator, ac etc.

I said again: your guy over there said it does 120hp all around.

Mangaer: Well I see what you are asking young man but we don't know exactly what you are asking we only know the engine puts out 120hp!
While my wife is cracking up in the background !

I said look how can you be telling people they are getting 120hp at the wheel when in an auot they loose uptp 30% of that power.

I really enjoyed dicking around the dealers!

They tried to push a new lancer on my I just replied when they have balls my son I will be back!

I see what your talking about...it sort of reminds me of the eclipse commercials when they came out with the new ones:(

if you havent seen the new lancer comercial you are missing out on a really good laugh. i laughed my ass off when i saw it.

"its a car... that thinks it's a $40000 car." hahahahaha what $40K do you know has 120 Hp and 130 Torque. I think the guys down at Mistu advertising have lost it.

hi...here in malaysia they don't show that kind of commercial and that means i miss all the laughter about the stupid commercial u r talking about..so..tell me about it...share the laughter with me here.:sun:

It has the Bare Naked Ladies singing in the Background and all the film is in black and white. The action is short and "motionblurred." It has a bunch of friends in each car singing the song and then at the end it says in red lettering, "the Lancer is here." Then in white it says "and under 14000." I'll detail the other one later...

since the lancer is coming to the US, does that mean that the Evo might be comming here too?????????

the lancer is already in the U.S. you just have to wait a couple more years for the EVO

the evoVII is still not going into the U.S market...sux...here i have seen a lot of evoVII on the road...

I just saw the U.S. Lancer commercial last night for the first time. The song is "One Week" by the Barenaked Ladies, and it is very reminicent of the Eclipse and Montero Sport commercials, but nowhere near as appealing. They picked a too-mainstream song this time.

um, i dunno if you know, but the lancer here has 120hp.... that's pathetic..... and the EVO is nothin like a civic compared to a Civic Type-R... the EVO is like a whole different car, than the lancer, there are barely any parts that are kept the same, just the appearance is the same.

it's like comparin a civic to an NSX..... k, maybe that's goin a bit too far :D

all im saying is that the LANCER base model finally comes to america and let it rule. Thats whats Mistubishi Motors OF America have said.. they want to let the LANCER have its thunder for 2002 and 2003 can let the EVO rule.

And that every other company has a car just like this 120hp car.. like the

Toyota Corolla - 125hp
Honda Civic - 127hp
Mazda Protege - 130hp
Nissan Sentra - ??? lolz

all im saying is that It is a base model thats why it has pathetic horsepower.. even japan

Japans Mitsubishi Lancer CEDIA GDi Engine is.. 130 PS 1.8 liter
