i have a 98 Malibu with the 3.1, i am about to drain the oil and coolant, im wondering how much coolant and oil this engine holds so that i know how much to buy. Also what kind do you recommend of each of these products for me to buy .. thanks

4.5 quarts of oil
13.6 quarts coolant.

thanks, anyone got any recommendations for which oil or coolant to use, also will just any Dex-cool antifreeze work?

Use any dexcool, mix 1:1 with water.
Any name brand oil will be fine. Use 5w30 as recommended.
