How do I remove a brake light switch 1998 K2500?

There is a clip that holds the brake light switch on the shaft. I dont mean the brass colored one inside the switch itself but the one that is on the shaft. It is really hard to see unless you have a small mirror and a good source of light. (being a contortionist helps too)

It is the clip that I cant seem to figure out. It isnt an "E clip" or a "C clip" it is much fancier and harder to remove. I think I'm going to call it the rubicks clip soon. :banghead:

I have seen this rubics clip. I am no contortionist. (not that there's anything wrong with it) I see you have solved this dirty little puzzle. Would you please share how? I am convinced I am not supposed to be working on this without a cheat of some kind. Until I find one I am without braking illumination. Mine is a 95 Sierra c1500. :banghead:
