they seem to start at $15 on ebay and go up from there...
The SRT8 and STS-V were both at the model club meeting today for $11 each, and I passed on both...

Yeah, don't know why they are so rare and expensive.
Usually, I bought all my kits for modelexpress, but he didn't get those two kits yet..
They looks pretty good.

If You Can Find Them At Wallmart They Are 12.99 But They Are Hard
To Get, Hope They Get More.

All the Walmarts I've seen them at, had them on the bottom shelf. LHS also got these this week. Walmart, about 3 weeks ago.
Build up looks nice. Too bad it's just a little off stock. But at least the Caddy isn't that hard to convert back to stock.

My local Wally World had plenty of 'em today; $12.97 each. I got the Charger and STS-V. Aside from the cheesy opening doors and oversized wheels and smoothed exterior door handles, they'll make into some decent kits.
I just finished a Testors Charger Daytona for a magazine review, nice kit but 170 parts wore me out even though everything fit perfectly! The Revell SRT-8 is a bodystyle I like better, I've got leftover wheels from a Dodge Magnum SRT-8 that's getting thoroughly customized :naughty: and they are a good fit. The SRT will take a lot less time to get finished. A variety of Aoshima 19's/20's look great on the STS-V.
Don't let the hideous boxart scare you away if you want somewhat "stock" or mildly customized model, the shapes are stock, the wheel openings are stock, the interiors are fairly stock (aside from some speakers) and good modelers can take it from there :icon16:

I went to three wallmart today and none have them (Quebec, Canada) :-(
There most recent kits was the Viper and they got 4 colors of Testors spray can.
That's why I always order from internet.

I made a rare trip out to Wal-Mart to get one of those STS's, closest Wal-mart is a 25 minute drive, and there are four hobby shops closer, and they had none, there in the progress of remodeling so there whole stock stinks, they had a couple kits on clearence for $7, but nothing to get excited over. they seem to be very hard to find through hobby distributors (none of the hobby shops had them)

The official "street date" set by Revell is Wednesday Jan. 24th, online retailers should have them by then. Wal Mart jumped the gun; and some Wal Marts don't have them. The small store near my house (not a supercenter) has a good selection of kits. The supercenter near my Mom's house has a crappy selection. If a store has a lot of kits, it's likely because they've got a good track record of selling them. Stores that don't move many models get the shelf space reduced and hardly have any kits.
