odometer code trick?

Hi everyone,

I read somewhere that there is a way to get some basic trouble codes to display across the odometer on some cars and I believe I read that the JGC can do that as well but does anyone know if this is true for 1 and if so how to do it?
I figure it would be good to know just in case. PS what book do you all use to figure out what the codes stand for?

There are numerous posts about it, including where to go to get the codes, in this forum.

Basically, start with door closed and vehicle off. Turn the key

on-off-on-off-on

within 5 seconds (might take a couple tries, I usually let the odometer come up before turning off) and your codes will come up.
