It ran fine all day... parked the car overnight would not start the next morning. all the lights radio chimes work great but car will not turn over. I also tried to jump it, thinking it could be a dead battery and it would not jump... Please help!
Thanks

Welcome to AF.

You may have a Passlock VATS problem which is common in Aleros. Is there a SECURITY light on or flashing at the Instrument Panel?

If so leave the key to the ON position for approximately up to 10 minutes until the light goes out and then try to start.

The light security light is on. I tried the 10 minute thing but still won't start

Until you get the SECURITY light out it will not start. It cuts off voltage to the starter and fuel injectors.

Disconnect the battery negative cable for several minutes and then reconnect. Then try the re-learn again. Key to ON not START position for 10 minutes and off for 30 minutes. Repeat. If light does not extinguish then you may have an ignition switch key cylinder problem because the coding is not being passed on to the Body Control Module (BCM) which handles the anti-theft deterrent system.

Ok so I got mad and started looking under the hood, thats when I realized that I have no compression, and hardly any spark. There is enough spark to trigger fuel, and cause the car to flood but not enough to start the car. So now what?

Perhaps your confused. Is the engine cranking when you turn the key to the start position, or no?

There wouldn't be any compression if the pistons aren't moving.

It cranks but doesn't turn over.

It cranks but doesn't turn over.

What is the status of the SECURITY light now?

Ok so I guess it slipped time, they told me that the oiler went bad.
