my 96 riviera's traction control system light stays on and pushing the button does nothing.

sounds like a wheel speed sensor. try removing the front wheels and cleaning the plug/sensor that plugs up to the caliper. many people have this problem, sometime all it needs is a cleaning other times its more serious. btw only use electrical contact cleaner. how long has this been a problem? is the check engine light ever on?
