want to buy one...well tradevectorspecialist 01-12-2007, 03:37 PM i have loved skylines since they made there debut in vid games in the usa. i've done tons of research and would like to buy one. my problem is now that motorex has gone under, i cant import one. and people that own them arent really selling them. my offer is a 92 stealth r/t twin turbo, with 300hp and 305tq. awd, and aws for a r32 or early r33 skyline. i think it's fair only because they are close in class. the stealth is fully loaded, leather,cd, radio, all the goodies that r needed or wanted. 60k, and will b getting tuned up b4 selling. i'm looking for a fair trade, not me giving car and money. i'm looking for any stock color, except purple. and it must b leagle, none of this under the radar thing. i'd prefer leather int, and a cd player, other than that, not much, o under 100k miles dj42 02-03-2007, 06:54 PM Wow... Let me get this.... a 92 stealth... for a GTR from motorex... Do you realize how much it cost us to get the DOT bond release... 15-25K and years of waiting plus the cost of the car... 45-50K... You think a 92 stealth is an even trade????:screwy: Not to be rude, but that's an insult..... I don't think you've done the research.. here is your car.. worth 1600-4000 http://www.edmunds.com/used/1992/dodge/stealth/index.html liny 02-04-2007, 10:28 AM this is some funny shit!! who cares what edmund says goto go by what they sell at auction for dj42 02-04-2007, 12:24 PM this is some funny shit!! who cares what edmund says goto go by what they sell at auction for OK.... here's an auction.... Same car... sorry... less that 7K... still not 50+ http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Twin-Turbo-Stealth-Excellent-Cond-Clean-must-see_W0QQitemZ170077061946QQihZ007QQcategoryZ6206QQ ssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem vectorspecialist 02-05-2007, 12:36 AM well heres a lil lesson in the idea of edmunds and kbb, they dnt take into accountability of collectors, hence the reason a 69 gto is 5g. 2nd, with those sites they dnt care about the fact of milage they see dodge they go to consumer reports and base off that. yes u did pay 70g for ur skyline, goood for u, guess wat the stealth is the same type of car, in fact it could probably outperform it(except drifting). so the way i see it, u overpaid for the skyline, i paid 8700 for the stealth with 60k on it, and fully loaded, in about 20yrs, it's possible to sell the car for 60g, possibly. congrats on getting it from motorex. also if u read, it says a r33 or older gtr, meaning the same power as my stealth, the same gearbox, and handling that's a bit more figity. o and last time i checked, a r32 1990 from motorex is 34g, a little less than wat my car sold for brand new. and considering my car was owned by a millionaire m4 me, i doubt u'd b getting a bad deal. the car is in damn near showroom condition, other than a ding from a shooping cart on the rear bumper. also another reason stealths dnt sell for a lot right now, is because vr4's for some reason have a bigger following, if u researched the cars, ud ind they are the exact same cars, the vr4 and stealth. also if u look up usa leagle gtr 32's on ebay, they commonly go for only 15g, i've have seen many stealth tt from 91-93 go for 15g or more. in fact i know of one that went for 47g, and another that's going for 25g. so figuring that the skyline is as common in japan as a mustang is here, it should b pretty much a fair trade. consider this, the stealth is more often compared to ferrari then it is a rx7 turbo, a supra and a 300zx, which were all in its class, and a skyline is known for wat, being the first car to race nurinberg in under 8mins. other than that wat does the skyline have that is better than my stealth, a weight disadvantage, i've done my research, yea u own one, congrats, but i still probably know more about the cars than u. vectorspecialist 02-05-2007, 12:50 AM i did take a nice detour over to ebay, the only 92 stealth tt, isnt stock, the paint wasnt always slate grey, its not even a color that was available on the car, it's close but not right. as for finding an r33 or r32 on ebay, there is one, and considering the dumbass listed it in km and not miles, it's not leagle, the only cars on there for skylines that looked leagle was an r34, and considering thet's the 15th different one on ebay, i find it alittle hard to find that to be true, considering that only like 25 made it into the country through motorex b4 it closed, and not everyone would sell a skyline, and definitly not on ebay. the biggest problem is finding a leagle one, that's wat make a skyline in the usa valuable, cause if u buy one that's not leagle, in a state that has inspection the first thing they'll do at the station when it fail's is write down the drivers name and address, then call the state, and u can kiss ur ride goodbye nismogt_rfreak 02-05-2007, 10:47 AM and a skyline is known for wat, being the first car to race nurinberg in under 8mins. I don't think you realize how impressive that is. The R34 Nür spec had the record time for a production car until Porsche finally made something that could beat it (a 911 GT3 if I remember right). dj42 02-05-2007, 11:28 AM None of those on ebay are legal... Here is a legal one. http://www.vipimports.com/Car-Nissan-2/nissan2.htm Maybe he'll trade... It's a dealer.... vectorspecialist 02-05-2007, 03:48 PM i relize how impressive it is to drive 13.something kilometers in under 8 mins. and i dnt think a porsche gt3 beat it first, a carrera gt beat it, now so has the zo6, and the new gt3 road car. every once in a while a leagle gtr pops up on ebay, mostly in ca. u can also try autotrader.com, for a skyline, nissan unspecified, usually one or two will pop up, i'm looking for a r32 or r33, i dnt like the r34, to much of a boxy shape, the 32 and 33, have a lil more rounded of a front, but still the same type of looks from different angle. and i think about it now, i'll just save my money, get rid of my neon and porsche and get a skyline, and have two impressive cars and that car isnt stock, in terms of power, granted he could b lying, but i doubt it. i want as stock as i can get, maybe wheels or tint, but nothing else, cars look the best in stock form dj42 02-05-2007, 04:17 PM SRT4? and a Porshe.. Don't get rid of those for a Skyline... If you really want to talk to someone about Skylines, Call Jack at RB Motoring. They work with about every legal Skyline owner in the US. They are the experts and know more than anyone. Motorex, before they went out of business, were selling the 89 gtst for 16K... the value since has gone up a minimum of 25% purely based on name, and the fact that none will ever be made legal again. any car you have is better than a gtst. Talk to Jack about what you are looking for.. If it is at all possible, he can do it. www.rbmotoring.com 626 961-9213 vectorspecialist 02-05-2007, 08:32 PM its not an srt4, it just a 95 neon, as for the porsche its a 79 924, older than the 944 and slower than my neon, i'd get rid of them for a skyline. as for the last price i saw was the last time motorex updated the webpage, so 90 gtr was 34g. 93nissan 10-22-2007, 08:36 PM i have a gts-t and would kick an srt4, most porsche's or most cars in a canyon or on the track. they are good cars. i have beat r6's in the canyon more than once vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
