I am asking this on behalf of a car club buddy, who doesn't have a computer.
He has a '95 suburban w/ 350, which he just recently had the transmission (automatic) rebuilt. He say's he experiences a slight shutter when it shifts between 1st and 2nd, around 20 mph. He took it back to the shop which did the work, they rechecked everything and said they could not find anything out of the ordinary. Torque converter ?? I'm not 100% positive, but I would assume the torque converter was replaced during the rebuild. I've searched previous thread's, but couldn't find anything related. Any ideas as to what's wrong or what to check? Thank's from Ed.

My first thought is the Thottle Pressure cable is not adjusted properly.For me,that is the #1 killer of these trans.A rebuilt trans should not shift anything other than perfect or there is a defect in the rebuild or install.DO NOT take any answer other than " It works great". A shudder means that the clutches are slipping,death awaits you.The kick in the arse is that it will last just long enough to get off the warranty.Something is not right.Have your buddy go to the best trans shop he can find and don't say a word about it being rebuilt,have them test drive it and daig it.Then he can go back with the info and tell them how it is.

Make sure engine is running good for transmission to work good.
You need to get it put on a good engine/transmission capable scanner and check both engine running and transmission operation out.
It could be either engine or transmission problem.
If any codes post back codes.
