Headlight Wont Work

:banghead: I HAVE A 2001 DODGE RAM WITH 5.2 318 IN IT. I NEED ADVICE ON TROUBLE SHOOTING MY HEADLIGHTS. I AM RUNNING OUT OPTIONS ON WHER TO LOOK FOR THE SOURCE OF MY PROBLEM. I HAVE DONE EVER THNG I CAN THNK OF. I HAVE CHECK ALL MY FUSES THER GOOD. I HAVE REPLACE REPLAYS AN PUT NEW BULBS IN THE BOTH HEADLIGHTS. ONLY THNG I HAVENT DONE IS REPLACE THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH ON THE DASH. MY TURN SIGNALS , BRAKE LIGHTS , AN MY CORNER LIGHTS COME ON . EVER THNG ELSE WORKS GOOD. NE BODY HAVE NE SUGGESTIONS OR HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM . EMAIL ME AT eatem_up6969@yahoo.com

Need a test light or meter and a wiring diagram.
Check to see if you have power at the plugs. If not, trace the circuit back until you find the point of failure. If yes, then check the ground wire.

I had the same thing happen on my 98, had all other lights. I replaced the switch and HAPPY DAYS i had headlights. A quick 20.00 fix

i got my headlights to work but some times they just stop working an the only way to drive in the dark is to keep them on high beam. high beam works . am thnking its my headlight switch

Could also be the dip switch. It is a common point of failure on many makes of cars. Use a test light or meter to test the parts.

I had the same problem with my 94. The switch is the problem.

I've had this problem with two cars, one was the dip/turn signal switch, and the other was the headlight switch. You need to test the components in the circuit in order to replace the right part.

Are you asking for assistance? If yes, start your own thread instead of hijacking someone elses. Threads get confusing when they are about more than one car.
