NEW SUPRA vs. 350Z350z4me 09-24-2002, 02:55 PM I just looked at a pic of the new Toyota Supra and I think then made a beautiful thing but ass ugly. Before I saw the pic I was thinking of geting one instead of a 350z, but now i would rather drive a Honda Civic than a new Supra, hell the car is almost as ugly as a Toyota Echo. Here is a pic of the new Supra Ugly car: http://www.ozsupra.qld.org/web/picturesmain/supraimages/mark5/pictures_markv.htm Which would u rather buy????? ParadoxxNYC 09-24-2002, 07:01 PM Holy crap!!! I hope they're just making it look so hideous for the spy photographers out there and will come out with a completely different car when they do make it. That thing looks awful. The front looks like a Pontiac Sunfire. And the back is unchanged from the previous model. This can't be the thing that they're going to put out ont he market. 350z4me 09-26-2002, 07:49 PM I think toyota is going to make some changes befor they release it....well at leaset i hope so. I think it wont come out till late 2003 or 2004 onetrav 12-02-2002, 01:01 PM Wow, that #$%@ is hit.... Pivo 12-02-2002, 02:26 PM that's not the new supra........ those pics have been around for years now ........ they are coming out with a supra soon but no one knows for sure what it looks like this is supposely some other ideas (spy shots, or as some people thinkg, photoshops) http://www.eclipseforums.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=76648&highlight=new+supra tomlong 12-02-2002, 05:49 PM I have a friend who works for Toyota and he said he would have heard about it if Toyota was planning to do it anytime soon. He said that there is talk of a new Sportscar, but no idea of when or what it will look like. MadScientist 12-11-2002, 10:50 AM Just to break the news a little the pic looks like the current FTO with bad paint job and a new face. Maybe they got it mixed up !! Peace Drew www.automotiveforums.com DemonZX 12-11-2002, 02:50 PM That is not going to be the final product...I know!:eek2: 350ZLMsunset 12-12-2002, 04:14 PM Yeah they will clean that up before they release it. That Grille is way to big. The Z looked way better as a concept tho Midnight Racer 12-12-2002, 04:22 PM These are the pics I got on the New Supra and Skyline. http://www.quick-go.to/web/mycar/0207/article_29_01.html MadScientist 12-13-2002, 04:35 PM The pics you just sent a link to are alot better. I like that look better than the Nasty Green ChopShop FTO!! Peace Drew www.automotiveforums.com MaximusGTR 12-17-2002, 01:10 PM The first pic looks like a mixture between an Alero and a sunfire, the second set of photos seem more accurate lowridder11 12-17-2002, 05:52 PM they should just take the 98' model and start building that again. Why did they stop making them. It was the hottest tuner car SR20DETpower 12-19-2002, 08:54 AM that isn't like that car, that FTO thing you posted is a Nissan Silvia S14mc. FairladyZ 12-20-2002, 12:21 AM Originally posted by lowridder11 they should just take the 98' model and start building that again. Why did they stop making them. It was the hottest tuner car it was a wee-bit expensive lowridder11 12-21-2002, 09:26 AM I know it was expensive but couldn't they just make like base models without all the interior luxuries and just a high power engine. They could make NA, Turbo, and TT models. bk2kmax 12-22-2002, 09:29 PM Originally posted by 350z4me I just looked at a pic of the new Toyota Supra and I think then made a beautiful thing but ass ugly. I saw those pics about 2 years ago or something like that, I think the green one is hideous, the white one looks ok except for the grille and I think it looks a lil too Celica-ish. Not that the Celica is ugly, it isn't but why make your top of the line sportcar look like your midlevel-sportscoupe? I'd go with the Z based on it's looks but when it comes to power and bulletproof internals in the engine, you gotta luv what they did to the Supra engine. They need to make all the Z's TT stock, then the Z would be the true playa it should've been from the start. Pariah9000 06-06-2003, 10:38 AM http://www.veilside.com/veilsideusa/frames.html click on the link for aero fashions. then go to toyota and then to supra 03 model. archangeljf 06-06-2003, 03:43 PM yeah, mazda did the same thing with their rx8...i saw the initial conceptual drawings a few years back-breath taking...and now i see the production model, what a sorry piece of shit that thing turned out to be. lowridder11 06-07-2003, 10:29 AM greddy has made a turbo kit for the 350Z!!!!!!!:D dozenfive 06-18-2003, 04:26 PM look what i found. it's not too shabby. might be worth the wait. http://www.autothing.com/funthings/SpyShots/funthings-spyshot2005ToyotaSupra.htm lowridder11 06-18-2003, 10:41 PM that car was in last months Automobile magazine. It is ok, but its Naturally Aspirated:frown: And the second supra is the Abflug supra from Tokyo Extreme racer, the best racing game ever nissan350ztt 06-19-2003, 06:04 AM Originally posted by lowridder11 greddy has made a turbo kit for the 350Z!!!!!!!:D So has PE, TS, HKS, and XS, but their not releasing them yet.:shakehead lowridder11 06-19-2003, 08:27 AM ya, i only read about them in Import Tuner and Super Street. On veilsideusa.com they have the mirrors displayed and MSRP, but then again that's not a store... lowridder11 06-19-2003, 06:54 PM ya, i never buy stuff online:comprage1 NSX 06-20-2003, 01:51 PM This looks pretty nice: http://www.ozsupra.qld.org/web/picturesmain/supraimages/mark5/images/Mark5_12.jpg nissan350ztt 07-02-2003, 03:38 AM Originally posted by NSX This looks pretty nice: http://www.ozsupra.qld.org/web/picturesmain/supraimages/mark5/images/Mark5_12.jpg That is pretty much the same MK4 Supra. lowridder11 07-02-2003, 10:58 AM that picture might have been a design layout for the 93-98 Supras and not the new1's Jason Doucette 07-02-2003, 08:59 PM I don't think this pic of the new supra is all that bad: http://www.ozsupra.qld.org/web/picturesmain/supraimages/mark5/images/Mark5_04.jpg Although, I must agree that some of the others are quite ugly. I seen a black 350Z for the first time last week - it was quite nice. There's not many around where I live, obviously. Everyone who owns real sports cars around here has vettes. nissan350ztt 07-03-2003, 02:17 PM Originally posted by Jason Doucette I don't think this pic of the new supra is all that bad: http://www.ozsupra.qld.org/web/picturesmain/supraimages/mark5/images/Mark5_04.jpg Although, I must agree that some of the others are quite ugly. Jesus, man grow up and except the fact the Z is a REAL sports car (it is like 10k less than the vette). YogsVR4 07-03-2003, 02:54 PM Originally posted by nissan350ztt REAL sports car!? I seen a black 350Z for the first time last week - it was quite nice. There's not many around where I live, obviously. Everyone who owns real sports cars around here has vettes. To quote myself, I was stating that the 350Z is a real sports car. "Everyone who owns real sports cars around here has vettes.", implying that they do not buy anything else. There are not many 350Zs around where I live - considering I just seen the first one last week, this would be quite an indication of that. In other words, when someone around here buys a 'real sports car', they always choose a vette, not a 350Z, not a Supra, not a Viper - always a Vette. Does this clear things up? :) I really fail to see what I wrote that indicated anything other than this. Also, I think the 350Z is $15k less than the vette, whether you compare the top end models of both, or just the base. Battousai 07-05-2003, 10:23 PM I understood your post Jason. nissan350ztt 07-06-2003, 05:25 PM Originally posted by YogsVR4 :iagree: I can't believe how moronic some of the comments in here can get. Were you agreeing with me? Sorry about that Jason, I took your post wrong. Also, your second post clarified it a little but still would confuse someone. Jason Doucette 07-07-2003, 08:02 AM That's ok. I can sort of understand how it was taken wrong, especially if read quickly. Let me reword it yet a third time, to remove any possibility of confusion: When I said "Everyone who owns real sports cars around here has vettes", the 'real sports cars' meant cars of significant value... not a base model mustang, for instance, but sports cars that most people cannot afford, which includes vettes, 350zs, etc. So, what I meant by "Everyone who owns real sports cars around here has vettes" is "Everyone around here who has enough money to buy a sports car out of range of the average consumer always chooses to buy a Corvette, thus 350Zs are very scarce around here." ;) nissan350ztt 07-07-2003, 01:22 PM Originally posted by Jason Doucette That's ok.
