This is my first post here and I must admit that I dont know alot about cars. My wife and I are looking to buy a used car for no more then $8,000. I want a 4 door type sedan that is a good reliable car and its not big on gas. I dont care about speed but I care more about safety. I know some good cars are hondas,toyotas and chevrolet. What models and years should I look at ? Please help me make my decision easier. If there's any sites that can help me pick a good car , let me know what they are . Thanks alot !

As for a good car with a decent fuel economy, try a Toyota Corolla LE, or checkout the other types.

Any Honda Civics, Accords, Toyota Camrys, or Corollas. Toyotas and Hondas are known for being very reliable and very respectable gas mileage.

thanks . Are toyota Sentras any good? I saw some good prices on them .

Nissan Sentras...I actually don't know much of anything about them.
