i just finished swapping in a 6-bolt into my 2g auto. it will start and die down. if i give it some gas or feather the accelerator i can get it to stay on the but it's idleing at 2000 rpm.
the 6-bolt is a jdm withe the cyclone intake. i didn't do enough research and later found out that they have the dual runners. so thats not hooked up properly. could that be the cause?
also my tranny is having trouble shifting. i drove around the block and could not get out of 1st. maybe lack of tranny fluid? how much fluid does a 2g auto hold?
other than that i'm lost. I got till the end of january to figure out. then i'm taking it to a local dsm shop. any help is appericiated

Check your Idle screw on the manifold. It's right next to the throttle cable. You can loosen the nut and unscrew it more to adjust the idle.
Also if the TPS is out of adjustment it'll cause strange idle, so you can check that and make sure it's good by checking a haynes/chilton's manual and metering the actual TPS itself.
