getting fault code p1512 on a 2000 es mpv. code is vtcs (variable tumble control solenoid). from what i read this should disengage after eng is warm and when rpm exceeds 3750 rpm. is this correct so far? the van runs with no problems, i reset the cel, it will come back on only when the rpm gets around 4000rpm and stays there a few seconds so i am guessing that this info is correct. anyways, vtcs seems useless, is there a way to deactivate this so this "nuisance cel" will stop coming on. or can anyone point me in the right direction as to where the solenoid is, i think it is aft and below the throttle. pics would be great!
