1990 GT Gas tank Question

Hi everyone, Im posting this for a friend of mine..
Ill start out by saying that i dont know alot about this car.. but i told him that i would try my best to get a awnser for him, so here goes nuthin..
As far as i know he owns a 1990 Ford Probe GT, its not his primary vehical, but one that he has been trying to get back on the road for some time, Now the main problem he has been having with it, and the reason its not back on the road, is due to the gas tank needing to be replaced. Where we live at, there seem to be none that we can find, so me and him both wanted to know if there are any other interchangeable parts from another car that we can go to the junk yard and take the gas tank out of, i know that mazda 626's were the pretty much same drive train, but im not sure since its a GT, and a 1990 if it will work, so ill let the pros (you guys) direct me in the direction that i need to go, thanks in advance.. What's wrong with his tank? Some radiator shops can repair gas tanks.
