500 Series Convertible

I am told there is a 500 series convertible available in Europe but not in the US. Is that true? does anyone have any info re such a model?

Hi my name is matthew. This is my first post. BMW has never made a 5-series convertable, but once I did find a photo of the E34 M5, which has been made into a convertable.
