97 PA driver's side window

Window seems to go cockeye a 1/4"or so. I can actually grab the window and move it side to side.

Any ideas on what to replace on this one? It is a PITA, as it will catch the weather stripping and not want to move at all.

Thanks.

Welcome to AF!
It sounds like you may have a funky regulator assembly. Here (http://www.a1electric.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=AEOS&Product_Code=mr299) is a typical pic of a regulator & motor assembly. The one in the pic is for a LeSabre, not for the 97 PA, but it should give you an idea of what to look for. You could call this vendor to see if they have the correct one for the 97 PA, or advise you on where to find one.
Good luck!

How bad is R&R? Door panel removal not a problem, but getting into the door body itself looks challenging.

This link (http://www.a1electric.com/grandam.htm) will show the procedure for a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am, however, the cable mechanism used in this vehicle is typical of many late model GM, Ford and Chrysler vehicles as well as most Asian imports.

Thanks...that was informative. Unfortunately cannot find motor+regulator online to save my life.

Looked on gmpartsdirect but I'm unsure what is the right one given their lack of descriptions.

I see what you mean about the lack of description at GM parts direct! I would call your local Buick dealer to get the part number, then do a "part number" search at GM parts direct. Also, I would not order parts until you have verified what the problem is! It could be just a loose bolt at the bottom of the window, where the regulator bolts to the glass.:dunno:
