If you have a early 90's civic w/ a weld on fart-can and a bunch of stickers from autozone please dont rev your engine at me at a stoplight and then be astonished that i smoked you.:screwy: Some tool in a civic w/ a fart-can and auto zoo stickers that said NOS and AEM and crap like that thought he could waste me from a light i guess...he pulled up next to me and started reving his engine, i guess becuase i have zzp, magnaflow and SLP decals on my car I guess he automatically assumed i wanted to race him.....Anyway's i really didnt feel like wasting the gas but the light turned green he floored it i eased into the gas then went WOT and left him like he was sitting still....he pulled up to me at the next stoplight and said "I didnt think you would pull on me that much man, that car is pretty fast." I thought to myself you got to be kidding me....he actually thought he had a chance.....:shakehead its so sad...please explain to me why people buy a civic, put on a fart-can and CAI and think they have a fast car....my car runs mid 13's and still dont think its that fast....*sigh*:disappoin

Because guys like me don't have stickers and I make guys that do look really stupid at the next light. I enjoy racing ricers and making them think they have a chance no sense in going any faster than I need to make my point. Keeps things interesting and makes sure nobody knows what's actually under the hood. There has always been rice though and there always will be rice it will just be called something different ignore it and race because you love it not because you saw it in a movie.

The thing is kids these days are not in it for the pure enjoyment. They are in it to make a statement. Gone are the days of friendly trash talking, and weekend races. Now you have kids threatening each others well being, wanting to jack your shit, or who knows what else, just because you have a fast car.

I DO NOT race ricers for 3 reasons.

1). They tend to be horrible drivers, and will put anyone at risk just to try to show what a *badass* they are.

2). They DO NOT think. They just do, anytime, and anywhere, and they seem to be unfriendly, and know nothing about cars.

3). My car is ALMOST ALWAYS faster than what the ricer has!!!

He wanted to race, you raced, you smoked him, he gave you props for your win.

You both have stickers. Sure you have the actual parts in your car, but unless you're sponsored by the company, you have no contractual reason to display their logos on the outside of your car. Hence, neither of you "should" have stickers on your car. So the sticker argument is kinda void.

These are the facts.

However imo, judging by the tone of your post, you would be the ricer given the amount of arrogance dripping from your post. So...happy new year! :-)

i guess becuase i have zzp, magnaflow and SLP decals on my car I guess he automatically assumed i wanted to race him

Exactly...I have all those parts on my car i had decals for...I didnt buy them in a fast&furious sticker pack from autozone, they came w/ the products i bought. My point was that he actually thought he might beat me and was surprised as hell that i did, he had a WTF look on his face. I dont go around my town reving at z06 corvettes and modded LS1's SS camaro's or WS6's or even some imports like STi's, Evo's ect...b/c i know i would get my ass handed to me...Im just proving that the typical "ricer" thinks his car is faster than it really is and knows nothing about other cars besides his.

Yes, and by sticking them on your car you are endorsing their product and in reality advertising for them for free. This is personal choice of course, however, if you are then surprised that ppl are going to rev at you...then you really have some misconceptions of reality.

My point was that he actually thought he might beat me and was surprised as hell that i did, he had a WTF look on his face. Maybe he didn't think he was going to beat you, maybe he just thought he would hang better. Plenty of guys on here try to race obviously faster cars - sometimes out of curiosity sometimes they just wanna hear a lambo open up to 6,000rpm.

Also, your car is modified, so how is he supposed to know if he can beat you or not? Maybe he's been very close to beating stock ones? Yes, I'm playing devil's advocate...but you really gotta think a bit outta ur own world.

You hate ricers, we get it, all I'm trying to point out is that your attitude is not exactly that of a model non-ricer i.e. throwing stones in glass houses.

Look, at the end of the day, you drive a sports car that is modified. You chuck on a few stickers and as my friend the swordman Musashi points out, you are going to get revved at.

Some ppl rev simply to see if you're interested - if you then go WOT and race them, I don't know what you're complaining about.

im with him, I know I take my jetta out to try and race cars that i couldnt beat when I was stock. I took my jetta against musashis gto and lost by 2 cars, thats not bad at all for a jetta. I can beat some other cars that I havent posted cause I know people will call bs but that's life. If i ever get around to getting new rims, a FMIC, and a turboback exhaust, you bet your ass I will race musashi again, and it will probably be very even.

01-02-2007, 11:18 PM
Dude, we are not trying to bash on you but your being a hypocrite.
Stickers on a car are RICE! weather you got the parts or not installed is not the issue, its the fact that you got stickers slapped on.
And dont think Im just shooting words outta my ass, I know from personal experience. I used to have a 3000GT which was in fact sponsored by Ractive (Toucan Industries), Duplicolor, a local rim-repair shop and even Sony had given me a entry level sponsorship but that one didnt work out. The sponsorships where all set appart but I ended up with stickers on my windows, doors and hood. I got heat left and right so I know.
I resorted to getting magnetics and slapped them on ONLY on the days I hit the track, shows or AutoX since thats when the sponsors wanted my to show off. on the street I rolled a clean ride (except after I sold the C-F hood, I had like 6 small decals left on the hood)

Point is stickers belong on race cars....real race cars, like Deuces Wild or Jekyl, those are realz race cars, anything else is rice.

if i see a car with stickers, knowing if it'll beat me stock or not, ill throw some revs. just to see the difference they made, if any. its just a thing. seriously, there are people at my school that put stickers on their cars. they dont say it makes them faster, it just looks so magazine material i hear. i seriously have a friend that is really into neon lighting and has neons underneath, in the car, the windshield fluid shooters, on the dash, pretty much everythin. he had all the neon you could basically buy, except the wing with the neon tube in it. he was about to buy it, but the car got totalled. i'd take a pic if i thought about it. he now is putting on an alumminum wing onto a corsica, yes you read right, a corsica. it drives me nutz. i just give up. i'll take a pic if it happens.

this is the thing, no stickers unless you're sponsored. end of story. i get called a ricer because of my altezzas. the same altezzas new cost like 200 somthin bucks, and i got them for 40. cheaper than for 2 stock ones so i was happy for the deal. no more rice for me lol.

Actually it is a full body graphics kit so it does actually look very clean still. I mostly got it because I love how black with red trim looks better as opposed to when my bike had the red plastic with black trim. Basically it had the same looks as your CR but I just like this look better with black wheels and plastic and red trim. And a lot of the things on my bike I do actually have/use. (Thor, Alpine Starts, White Bros, Wiseco, Showa suspension, etc.). So there is not one random sticker every decal on there was designed for the body by FX. Most of the decals just say Honda or CRF450R. Here is a pic below for those who have not seen it:

http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2073/2405/1600/3kgt%20and%20CRF%20cropped.jpg

All in all it still has the stock decal look to it with a few changes. Like on our swingarms yours says Honda as does mine, I just changed the design a bit. As for the radiator shrouds, it is the same design just different colors.

So according to your comments my friend whom drives a lifted 70's Chevy Truck w/ a 350 and header back exhaust not mentioning the fact that he hates all import cars and anything having to do with street racing ect...is considered a ricer b/c he has flowmaster decals on the back windows????

hey not trying to put you down, but i know quite a bit about the jbody modding scene and if i were you, i would just save your money for a better car. Ive actually seen your engine lose HP with the mods you have listed. The engine is crap, its not worth modding. You will prolly spend about 2,000 bucks on all that, and other than the butt dyno you wont get any faster. Save your money for a nice downpayment on something with a better base to start with.

Or do as you please, its your car. Just giving you a heads up.

I have three stickers on my truck Two on the back window, on the driver's side I have one that says mKa Performance (they've hooked me up with some stuff) and on the other side I have one that says "I'd race ya, but I can't afford the f$cking gas!". But I think it's the third sticker that keeps me from getting races, it's on the tailgate:

To tell you the truth, its just for my love of working on them. Im only 16, i have a job and work 18-20 hours a week. I work for everything I have, parents dont give me much at all. Ill buy myself a new car once im out of college and have a good paying job. but for now, im stuck w/ a sunfire and im happy w/ it. Its actually alot nicer then what alot of kids around my age have in town (except for the spoiled rich kids) and I like the way they look w/ a body kit and the works. If I wanna work on a car (which I do) that i can call my own, thats gonna be the car I have to do it on.

btw...ur right to an extent about losing power but the only way you can loose power from those mods is if the exhaust piping is too big. 2.25" is not too big.

this is the thing, no stickers unless you're sponsored. end of story.

Free advertising=/=rice.

If that were the case, then you would need to totally debadge your car. All the badges that say Nissan or Sentra or whatever, guess what, thats advertising. Further, using this, I assume you only where hanes plain white tshirts and wal mart brand running shorts because those are the only one's I've seen that don't have a brand name visable on them.

I have two stickers on my car, real small on the rear quarter windows. They came with my CAI. most people don't even notice them. I also have the Transformer stickers I got from Mushi.

To the OP...Maybe I'm wrong, but you said this guy comes up to you, and revs. You asked why everyone wants to race you. You then race, and you beat him. He gives you props. You then come back here and insult him. Way to be a douche. If you don't want people to race you, if they rev and take off...then don't take off after them.

Chiquae07
01-06-2007, 01:04 PM
cassies, the badges came with the car. its the whole aftermarket part that i was trying to get at. sure we know if your car is a ford or nissan or w/e, but most people on the road dont. if the decals are toward the front tire, people will tend to rev at you. this is from what i've seen. if its on the rear side of the car, they dont notice it.

lol, everything has a brand. i guess you can say that, but i ususally don't worry about brand too much. if i like the clothing or product, i'll buy it reguardless. i'm just one of those people that you love me or hate me. now that i took a look, most of my clothes have very small logo badges on them, just because i like clothes better that way.

But under your argument, if you are not sponsored by said brand, then you shouldn't advertise for said braid. Therefore, if you are wearing a shirt that has brand name on it, but you are not being paid to wear that brand, therefore, you are a ricer.

You are not being paid to advertise for Ford, Nissan, Honda, therefore you are not sponsored by them. Therefore, you shouldn't have their brand names on your car.

Rice is an attitude anyways.

If you stick stickers on your car cos you own the parts in ur car, that's ur personal preference.

However, if you stick stickers on you car because u own the parts and then make fun of other ppl for putting stickers on their car for whatever reason, then you're a ricer and a prick.

And just to add my 2c to the clothing argument, I would never wear clothes where you pay a huge premium to have "tommy hilfiger" or some other crap in huge letters on ur chest. That's just exploiting you as the consumer. Those tshirts are made in the same factories in china as the stuff u get from target.

o and cassies, chevtruck is a race car, and they did it for free. so its not rice. he's basically sponsored by them, i remember he said so in a thread when he first got them. didn't pay for any of the duces wild on his car, and they put their company on his car as a deal. if i remember right people asked about his decals on his first track day out from the decal people. i think we should make a seperate thread and have everyone come together and get a true definition of ricer. thats my 2cents anyway now, as i've seen how rediculios this is becoming.

Now who in there right mind thinks thats a hard race my truck is for pulling a trailer the suspension is so stiff that iIbasically get no weight transfer unless I add about 1000lbs to the bed. The first time this focus tried I just said no and went about my buisness. However the second time i noticed there was a cop a few cars back from me at the red light so I revved up my 460 a to about 2500rpms and said lets go. The kid guns it at the red light and comes outta the hole alright for a front wheel drive and I get the enjoyment of watching that cop chase him down lol.

Eh, I don't really get a lot of attention in my car...which is how I like it. Most of the time I just get a thumbs up or a smile, or a "no way, that thing looks quick just sitting there"

Little do they know that my ride is easy pickin's for anything quicker than a C5 Z06.

I shudder to think of the harassment Ill get once the MkIV TT is added to the stable in Oct.

idk, but this is a great talk. it happens wen i drive my stealth turbo. i raced one kid in his rsx, it was funny as hell, his car was quick tho, i must give him credit for that.
i also read that putting 3inch exhaust on a car, like a civic is actually gonna lessen the power, i dnt member y tho
