Hello,

nice work

I'd tread lightly with the Harley stuff. Their licensing group can be very very aggressive. If you don't brand it you might be safe. I think you could get a "fine art" exception but the different products like large and small prints for pay may ruffle thier feathers.

just FYI

once again nice stuff.

You have excellent skillz. I bow to ur coloring talent. But I would never buy art. Im an artist. Ive been doing this for many years if i can't draw it I dont want it. btw im supposed 2b practicing my coloring skillz. Instead im hammered coming off a 3-0 pong night. my favor

The only good way not to get a lawsuit for selling prints of your drawings is not to use an already existing picture. :) Just good luck out there and hope you don't get caught.

I caught one guy selling off my drawing as his own and not to mention my own bodykit design for the car. He was selling prints higher than my actual originals.

Actually you can do the art from photos as long as you have permission.

You can also get permission from the actual auto makers. I got my VW license 5 years ago and it was a painless inexpensive process.

Other makers charge an arm and a leg so I'm careful when doing that work. The Land Cruiser was a personal vehicle and a commissioned piece. I'm not reproducing it for profit it's framed and hanging in the guys house. There's nothing wrong with that.

If a car club or dealership approachs me I do the work, no problem. The burden of license falls on them. I am not selling the shirts. I'm paid for doin the art. Now still...I would only do commission work if a harley is involved. They have a nasty reputation.

Everyone on this site that is serious about commercial art should have this book.

http://www.amazon.com/Graphic-Artists-Guild-Handbook-Guidelines/dp/0932102123/sr=8-1/qid=1167491325/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/104-9512686-2179944?ie=UTF8&s=books

It has all the legal info you need, plus release forms and pricing guides based on industry standards.

It's worth more to me than almost any other book I own.

If you aren't sneaking you can't get caught.

You can draw what you want, however you can't always sell what you want.

p.s. Girlbear is kinda right...you're sorta preachin to the choir. lol

lol, yeah I know its kinda a weird place to advertise selling them, but ive got some people that are interested that noticed from this website, so i know there are just admirers out there :D

You all know how it is, just trying to get out there,

Yeah and your right about all the permissions and stuff, thats why i had to do that koiengsegg, that way they would give me permission to sell the other one, lol and I don't have any up that I,am selling that I didnt get permission from if it was a pro photo, or if it wasnt off a personal photo or something.

Thanks for all the info also :)
