Hi All, I have a 1991 with 61k that I bought a couple months ago. I noticed yesterday on the drivers side by the firewall there appears to be an engine oil leak that is leaking onto the exhaust where the exhaust donut gasket is. I couldn't get a great viewpoint with the flashlight due to the brake master in the way but I am speculating it's the back of the valve cover gasket as it appears to happen once the motor is running. Does anyone have any opinions if it could be anything else? Motor runs fantastic. Thank you

Sorry if I'm too late but valve cover would be a good place to start with the gasket at the back of the intake a possibility as well, but valve cover gaskets are cheap, easy and the first place I'd start.
Hope this helps.

I appreciate the suggestion. I'm noticing on these diesels the valve covers are a bit of a pain due to the injector lines right on top of them. Just curious if there is a procedure to taking them off and not making a mess or basically just have at it. Thank you.
