Grand am VS Cutlass & Preluderoll2daspot 12-25-2006, 01:31 PM Well I have a 2003 grand am not the fastest I know but its not slow either, and I was just cruising around seeing as I put in $35 gas and I was full and I saw one of my buddies driving up ahead in his older cutlass, im not sure what year but its a v8 and in good condition so I flew up beside him and matched him and he knew right away what to do and punched it then I did too and he was ahead for about 2 seconds and then I pulled right past him and was like 5 cars ahead in about 10 seconds, then I slowed down for a redlight and so did he and it was about to change as we rolled up so as soon as it did we both punched it doing about 20mph and he pulled ahead really quick because my tires broke loose seeing as there was a bit of snow on the ground and I was spinning for like 5 seconds till it caught then I caught up and went past him again. Then I called up a diffrent friend and went to get something to eat he came in his prelude, its a newer one but not the newest after we were leaving and he was following me onto the highway and we both stopped at the red light going onto it, on green we both punched it and were even till like 50 then I was pulling ahead and kept going untill about 75-80 and I was still flooring it and I saw him pulling me in and he blew past me and kept going till like he was 5 or 6 cars ahead doing 120 or so. So my guess is he was playing with me at first then just went all out and killed me, I never saw his prelude before so I dont know exactly what he has done to it but its pretty fast. jeepgclwj 12-25-2006, 02:52 PM I have a question for you. Why would you street race up to 120mph with snow on the ground? I'm not the most cautious person in the world but you sound plain stupid... roll2daspot 12-25-2006, 04:44 PM there was only snow in some spots and it was late at night with no traffic, I wouldnt drive like that if I felt it was unsafe. 98BlackTransAm 12-25-2006, 08:09 PM so I flew up beside him and matched him and he knew right away what to do and punched it then I did too and he was ahead for about 2 seconds and then I pulled right past him and was like 5 cars ahead in about 10 seconds. you went WOT for 10+ seconds from a roll?? how fast were you going when you let off? Gotian 12-26-2006, 11:11 AM Um...wow where to start, the guy with the prelude probably has nothing done to it, cause it is way faster than your grand Am. Also why would you race in snow? I live in miami and it rains here like crazy, I wont even race in the rain so i can't imagine doing it in snow. Mr. Luos 12-26-2006, 02:58 PM How did you fit $35 of gas into that Grand Am?? Was barely that much when fuel was $3.00 a gallon to fill mine from empty. Oh, and... VR43000GT 12-26-2006, 03:19 PM ^^ It takes over $30 to fill my 3000gt right now if it is on "E". I myself def would not have raced like that if there had been snow anywhere on the ground even if most the road was clear. It only takes one small slick spot to lose it. BigBL87 02-12-2007, 01:33 PM How did you fit $35 of gas into that Grand Am?? Was barely that much when fuel was $3.00 a gallon to fill mine from empty. Oh, and... Ya, I was wondering that myself. My Grand Am costs $26 to fill up when I'm running on fumes. How you could fit $35 worth of gas is beyond me. If gas were $3.00 still, I could see it, since the tank is 12 gallons (at least it is on mine). vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
