Hi, our 99 beetle 2.0 with 120k has the oil warning light that comes on and blinks a couple time as you come to a stop. Then when you press on the gas it goes away. I checked the oil and all is fine. Is it another glitch?
thanks

It probably means your oil pressure is low - possibly your oil is in need of a change along with the filter. As your car has a lot of miles on it may pay to change to a heavier oil - don't know where you live but in Australia the most common oil is 20W/50 and for older cars 30/60. Thicker oil means less oil burning and better oil pressure (only an illusion but it works). Good Luck.

120k miles I would say its time for a new oil pump. 2.0 oil pumps usually give out at or arround that mileage
