Hey gang,

A friend of mine is a Composites Engineer, and has a lot of work in carbon fiber. For example, he is the captain of a Solar Car team. Anyhow... he has a 94 SE-R, and is thinking about doing carbon fiber trim pieces for the vehicle. I asked him if he might consider doing it for my Spec V. I guess it is pretty expensive stuff, but, if I could convince him that there is a market for the stuff through the internet, maybe it would be worth his while to do it.

So I have some questions for everyone...

1.) What pieces would be cool to have done?
2.) What should the stuff cost?
3.) If I can get him to do it, would anyone else be interested in purchasing stuff?

Here are some of my ideas...
1.) I think it would be cool to have A Pillars done in carbon fiber, with the option of buying them preset for gauges. I think the typical dash kit stuff would be cool too... same as what's on ebay (17 pieces). B and C pillars might be cool too. A carbon fiber engine cover might be cool.
2.) As far as cost... The ebay kit is $168. Maybe if he could do it for $150 or less, it would be a good deal? Pillars for maybe $80 bucks a set?

Let me know what you all think... By the way... this doesn't have to be for Spec-V's only. I am sure if there is enough interest, he could do it for b13's, b14's, b15's, etc...

Take care...

i would probably buy an engine cover that is carbon fiber, as long as it can still have the nissan logo on it
