Hey all;
For when I do my rebuild, is this timing belt and tensioners and all going to be good? I don't want something that''s going to strecth or snap and destoy my freshly rebuild head. Is this worth while? Thanks

I personally wouldn't trust them. Dave, with all the money you're stuffing into the head, what's a little more for an OE timing belt? Granted the other parts may be alright, but I will never put on a timing belt that I buy on ebay.

See, I wasn't sure if it was an OE belt. So where can i find one besides the dealership? Is that water pump any good? They got good prices on new pumps by them selves.

OEM ONLY! Get all of your Drive belts and pullies from Hyundai. They are about 20% cheeper. It's what I am using right now. You can use eveything from Hyundai but the Hydrolic Tensioner. Mitsu decited to use 3 diffrent ones for the 2g and 2 diffrent ones for the 1g. Just use your Vin to get the right one.
Never Ever go aftermarket for drive belts/pullies/tensioners. Big risk's.. On Green Performance has the best prices on Mitsu parts, but here are the 92 Hyundai Sonata 2.0l Part #'s
Timing belt # 24312-33160
Timing belt tension pulley # 24450-33020
Timing belt idler pulley # 24810-38001
Ballance shaft belt #23356-33160
Ballance shaft tensioner # 23357-33120
Happy Holiday's.

I don't think they'll have them for my car. I got the 420a, not the 4g63.

No they won't, but you could try Chrysler and see if their prices are any different. A water pump is a water pump, but definitely do not go anything but OEM belts and tensioners like Scott said.

That sucks because it's going to cost a lot more now. However, mod right or do it twice.

Yeah, tell me about it, shit gets expensive, but you'll be happy you did when it lasts more than 20k miles.

Isnt the GReddy T-belt supposed to be twice as strong as the OEM belt though? That's what they claim anyway.

no, they actually have more issues from what I've seen. OEM all the way for any belt on the car IMO
