4x4 quick fix no go. anyone have wiring diagrams?Realest 12-19-2006, 10:19 PM i have a 1994 K1500, and the 4x4 isn't activating. I heard the actuator was a common problem with these trucks from many sources and changed it without doing any other investigating(i know i know, i shouldn't have done that LOL). Now i want to start chasing power in the truck, but i want to have my hands on some wiring diagrams first. I assume that the actuator gets it signal from a switch at the TCase. Can anyone point me in the right direction so i can make a proper diagnosis and repair. Thank you Ryan JaVeRo 12-20-2006, 11:18 PM Your truck originally had the thermal actuator. Did you replace it with the new motor driven actuator? If so, there should be three wires going to the actuator, Black is ground, Blue is 12v+ when the transfer case is in 4wd, Brown is 12v+ when key is on. I don't know where the brown and blue wires come from other than it somewhere on top of the transfer case. James Realest 12-21-2006, 08:59 PM no i didn't install the updated actuator. i just installed a jobber from part source, so there was no wiring change. I am pretty sure its either the wiring or the tcase switch. Part source was able to provide me with model and year specific wiring diagrams, so some time after christmas when i have some time i'll get to work. I'll let you boys know what i find. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
