94 Custom 3.8L Diagnosticsrrichard7 12-19-2006, 02:21 PM How do I read codes from a 94 3.8L? My Chilton claims it is OBD-2. The connector under the dash/drivers side is a 12 pin connector with only 4 wires to it. I wanted to jump pins "A" and "B" and read the codes from the flashing SES, as per Chilton, but there is no wire on "B". The door sticker shows 8/93 as the production date, so it is an early 94. Is there another place to connect a scan tool or use the flashing SES? Recently, the car runs rough (bucks) at highway speed. Also, it has stalled when decellerating on 3 occasions. Thanks, Ray maxwedge 12-19-2006, 05:14 PM This is the transitional year for obd 1.5, you will need a high line scanner to do this the cheapest on I know of is an Actron 9145. rrichard7 12-20-2006, 08:02 AM Thanks, that figures, I have a 9135. Will a 9145 use the 4 lead connector under the dash? Ray maxwedge 12-20-2006, 08:32 AM Just used it on a 95 OBD1.5. rrichard7 12-20-2006, 08:50 AM Thanks again. There is no way to do a flashing SES light with 95-95's? Ray vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
