I have a 2001 Protege DX. It is stick shift and has 89000 miles on it. I recently hit a deer and now the hood is completely destroyed nothing in the engine was damaged just the hood and my right head light. I also have a small dent on the rear bumber where someone hit me and some of the paint is started to fade along the roof.

Here's my question if i replaced the hood, put a body kit on it, some nice rims, new headlights and a paint job. Would that be worthwhile to get the price up to a good to a reasonable amount say around 5000?

How much is the car worth in it's present condition? How much will it cost to do what you want to do? Add the two figures. If less tha $5k maybe it's a good idea. I bet the cost of what you want to do will be more than $5.
