haha, looks like he turned the ignition off and it locked the steering on him

Whoopsy. Glad to see the endangered pole wasn't harmed.

Yeah i dont see how the steering could lock. Unless they had it off but they where steering just a second before.
Makes no sense man.

but yeah I would never tow my car like that no matter what. I always call a tow truck.

Damn, and I love Scoobies! :frown:

it makes sense, some steering wheels will let you turn it a bit before locking so they could do the little steering adjustments necessary but once he turned hard it locked.

that sux. wouldnt you push the horn to tell him somethin is wrong??? it seems that they were being pulled by a rope, so slam on the brakes, and the rope will rip. but that does suck, as i like scoobies.

thats why i kept mine in neutral when i got towed by a car, seemed to prevent thousands of dollars....

The passenger does hit hte horn. If you listen carefully, in between them cursing at John  you can hear it. Sound like a pretty weak horn, but it's audible. John was probably just too busy rocking out to tunes. Sucks for them, but honestly, they could have put more thought into their towing method before the fact.

Or they could have stayed calm and turned the key
