1999 Jeep Cherokee fuel railGonecountry51 12-10-2006, 09:40 PM Need help! Daughter borrowed jeep filled with gas but someone added water to tank:nono: about a galleons worth. It has been freezing here and while she tried and tried to start the jeep she filled the fuel injectors with water:shakehead then that night they froze. I came home to find I needed to empty the tank of all liquid. cleaned pump and filter.Drained fuel lines and could finally get the thing started but now there is an additional problem. The pressure release valve/regulator is spewing fuel when I turn the motor on:banghead: Can I replace just the regulator or do I need to buy a whole fuel rail can it be repaired or what AlohaBra 12-11-2006, 06:02 PM If you are talking about the service port on the rail, try pushing it in many time to see if it will close. What year? The regulator is part of the fuel pump module inside of the tank. The thing on the fuel rail is the fuel damper (for pulsations)...the manual says it is not servicable. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
