Hi. I've read all the posts here where "alarm" is in the post. I didn't see anything that touches on my question - unless I overlooked one. So here goes...

The exterior lights (turn signals) used to blink on my 2000 Windstar when the perimeter alarm system was turned on or off from the key fob. Now they don't. If I press the key fob twice (lock or unlock) the horn sounds, but no lights. The interior lights come on when the unlock button is pressed; however, they don't when the lock button is pressed. I think that is normal.

I have checked every fuse and tested every relay I could find under the dash and hood. All of them are fine.

I also tested the system by pressing the panic button. The horn sounds and lights flash as you'd expect.

I tested it further by locking the system with the window down. I waited three minutes then opened the door from the interior handle. The alarm did not sound. That surprised me. Next I re-armed it and waited three minutes again. Then unlocked it with a key. Same result.

Suggestions?
