I think my battery is dead

All my lights in and outside of the car are barely on and comes on and off intermittedly. I got a boost and car runs fine. I drove it for over 30 minutes hoping that the alternator should recharge it but once I turned off the ignition and tried restarting.. back to square one. The funny thing was I can hear like voltage or the sound of electrical currents surrounding the light switch and lock switches sounding like it's try to send power to that spot but not enough juice is being sent.
My primary guess is the battery. Could it possibly a bad connection?

Thanks in advance

Alternator is dead or the belt turning the alternator is not tight enough(or been damaged)

Replace the belt and if it continues, then have the alternator looked at. You could use a multimeter to test the voltage output from the alternator while the car is running and experiencing the problem you describe

I check my battery with a meter and it read only 69 cca when the battery is rated over 600. So I changed the battery and everything is fine. However I did change my alternator about 6 months ago.

Should I still check the alternator belt or the voltage output of the alternator?

Because I am still afraid there may still be something causing my battery to drain.

Thanks

Yes, check the alternator belt tension. A lot of people forget to correctly tnesion them.

Put a multimeter across the two terminals of the battery while the car is running and make sure it reads over 13.2V :)
