hiflow turbo+ max boost and stock cooler?GTSGOD 12-06-2006, 05:16 PM hey once again skyliners. As you know i got a r33 gtst s2. i wanna hi flow my turbo first of all. my mods will include a power fc, turbo back exhaust and hiflow turbo. im going to run the standard intercooler..how much boost can in run with that cooler.. mind you the cooler is sitting behind mesh as i have a different front bar so its getting cool air right away. i would like to run 1 bar of boost max. differnt opinions welcome thanks pplz :) SkylineUSA 12-07-2006, 04:02 PM Stock GTSt cooler is not very good, size and placement. If your going with a bigger turbo, what PSI do you plan on pushing, more PSI = more heat = bigger IC. GTSGOD 12-07-2006, 04:55 PM only wanna run 14.5 psi max. and a low boost of 9psi. ive read up at other websites that the stock cooler is pretty reliable for 1 bar but thats only if u get a hiflow done on u your turbo. even 14 psi im happy with :) SkylineUSA 12-08-2006, 12:50 AM only wanna run 14.5 psi max. and a low boost of 9psi. ive read up at other websites that the stock cooler is pretty reliable for 1 bar but thats only if u get a hiflow done on u your turbo. even 14 psi im happy with :) What does a hiflow to a turbo mean? So, you just want to run 1 bar with your stock turbo? SkylineUSA 12-08-2006, 12:53 AM It not the PSI per say that make a cooler reliable, it the heat soak. Its ability to effectively cool the intake charge:) GTSGOD 12-08-2006, 05:09 AM hiflowed turbos are done here in aus..consisting of using your own turbo and changing the guts of them making them stronger... so basically a better turbo. SkylineUSA 12-08-2006, 07:19 AM That is why you use different terminology, you live in Oz. Turbo internal upgrade, got it :) mmcleo11 12-09-2006, 01:04 AM Power FC's have ceased production so you better be buying one VERY soon.
