95 Blazer, Doesn't Start, BAD GAS?Shawn Herrity 12-06-2006, 07:47 AM Hi Everyone: Thanks in advance for your help. My Blazer will not start. My girlfriend stop and put in $20 worth of gas about a 1/4 mile from my work. When she picked me up, the car would not start after shutting it off. I checked the fuses, took off the battery terminal and put it back on. About 15 minutes past and it just started right up. I drove to the gas station and put in a bottle of dry gas. Got home, the truck sat about an hour, I started it and went to the Grocery store. Inside shopping for a 1/2 hour, come out and the truck will not start. Just turns over like it is completely out of gas. Do you think I could have gotten a batch of bad gas? Also this is the real first cold day here, about 20 deg. I am new to this town, so it's real difficult dealing with getting rides, any ideas would be GREAT!! Thanks! With a weak battery the starter will take all the current and not leave enough for the fuel pump to get up to max pressure causing a no start. I experienced this problem. You might also try a jump start the next time it won't start. If that works then it's no doubt the battery or corroded battery cable clamps. Let use know what you find - it will help others. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
