95 Pontiac Grand Am GT heater core repair

Can anyone help me? I am already done with tearing the whole bottom dash out and ready to remove the heater core but how can i get to the hoses and get them off without a huge lift to put the car up on? I am unsure of how exactly to get to the hoses on the motor side to unclamp them and put in the new heater core and get that one clamped onto the hoses. IF any one can help me i would soooooooo appreciate it

I just did mine a month ago. If you have floor jack that works best, but if not, just use your car jack to lift one of the front wheels about six inches off the ground. Then secure it with a jack stand so it doesn't fall on you. That should give you enough room to slide under there with a pair of pliers to squeeze the clips on each hose and slide it forward and then work the hose loose with a twisting motion. If the heater hoses haven't been replaced, this would be a good time to do that. But that "H" hose set up may have to be ordered. good luck!
