This guy basically thought my Eclipse was slow, I'm assuming based on it's looks. It's not a pretty car and the rims are some of the most played out rims out there, so I guess he thought I was just another slow import. He asked me to race and at first, wanted to go from a dig. I told him that's pointless, I'm FWD. He suggests a 20 roll. I already know what the outcome of this race is gonna be so I give this guy the race he wants.

When I ask what his mods are I get the usual list: intake, headers, exhaust, cam, and Cobra upper and lower intake manifold. His best ET to date was 13.6 on street tires.

We go out to a highway in Mexico and line up at 20mph and I have his friend countdown to 3. I'm chillin' in 1st gear, not break boosting. He drops to 1 finger and we both go WOT. He gets the typical V8 torque jump and puts a car on me. It doesn't take long for my turbo to hit full boost at about 3200 RPM and I start pulling him dirty. I shut down in the top of 3rd at around 85-90mph with 3 cars on the Mustang.

nice kill. You can't ever underestimate a DSM, it could be a 14 second car, it could be an 11 second car. Thought everybody knew that by now. :biggrin: What are your mods?

you mean you dont know the countdown to three? thats the law here in ohio. when im lifting weights and i need a lift off, you guessed it, i use the 5,4,3. scoreboards at high school football games actually end with three seconds left. true story.
