On my 189K-distributor's never been moved- '92:
It plugs into the right-most forward position of the distributor cap...5:00
..4...3
5.......2
..6...1
Firing order is 1-6-5-4-3-2 clockwise rotation...(if the motor was a REAL Oldsmobile motor, the rotation would be counter clockwise due to the distributor being on the other side of the camshaft).
#1 plug is the drivers side most forward plug
Make sure your battery is fully charged.
Thanks!
