Broken wheel stud

Before starting my recent brake job, I broke a wheel stud on the front passenger side on my 2000 Honda Civic EX coupe. I've searched everywhere on the net, but can't find a sure fire answer on how to repair it. Some people say just hammer it out and put a new one in, but I'm pretty sure it's not that easy. Has anyone had any experience with this same situation? How did you fix it? Thanks in advance for your help.

the wheel studs (if i remember correctly) are pressed in.. you may have to remove the hub assembily and mount it to a table or vice somehow and basically pound the hell outta it until it pops out... you could try heating it to make it easier but u need to watch out for rubber bushings and other stuff you dont want to burn.
