Like an idiot I ran out of fuel.
Put 5 gallon of gas back in the tank, cranked away to no avail. What is the best method of getting fuel up to start the engine? Could it be maybe running low, fried the fuel pump?

Try having somebody try to start the truck. Lay beside the fuel tank can you hear the pump running. If you don't hear the pump check for power at the electrical connector to the pump. You can use a 12volt test light.

Also possible you may have to cycle the key a few times to prime the lines.

Thank you
Appreciate the replies, had the van towed to the repair shop.
It does need a replacement pump, I am waiting on a call to go pick it up.
Ah the joys of motoring.
