I am working on turning the eclipse into a show car b/c am picking up a 3000gt sl for a daily driver. I got the body kit, rims, and paint picked out. I'm looking into picking up some lambo doors *say what you will be they do good on show cars. I wanted to know if any of you know a company that has a good rep for its lambo doors. *Ease of install, Durabilty, Quality* and does any one know if they work well with widebody kits.

why not turn the 3000 into the show car (check out deftracing.com , they have VLS kits for 3s cars... and they're quality stuff)

GT factory or something like that. they r right up there with the best. just get big shocks but not HUGE shocks cuz then they will just ripe the door out of your hand when you go to open it. it can damage the fender witht that kinda force

B/C no offense to any one here a 3000gt is my favorite car and i want to be able to drive it dailey and not have to worry bout scratching the body kit or this or that. Hopfully when i hit 23-25 and my insurance is cheap enough i'll be able to grab me a vr4

I think you will run into problems with a widebody, but I dont know. I would scour (spelling?) cardomain and find someone with a widebody and lambo doors, they would know. As far as brand, DONT get some cheap eBay shit. Decah and Vertical Doors Inc make good shit I think, but I would definately not recommend Auto Loc. Sure they open farther but damn it looks ugly out to 130 degrees. As far as lambo doors, I think its definately form over function. I would rather have vertical doors that look right and are hard to get into and out of than some goofy ass Auto Loc's that swing way to damn far forward.

I for one would like to see the body kit and shit you have picked out for this beast. Oh yeah, widebody FTMFW :).

There is the body kit as far as brands i dont want any 130 crap or ebay either. Just a simple lambo replica type swing. I look on andysautosport.com to see if they had anything on brand wise. As far as other parts i am keeping my system i have currently. 2 Custom 12 subs from TC sounds, 4 Directed Tweets,2 orion compents, and coming this month 2 7in lcd monitors. Motor wise eitehr a 4g63 swap or a stroked and turbo 420a.

If you're going to order it from a retailer such as andysautosport.com (or similiar), expect some quality/fitment issues. Lambo doors are something that can be easily made by a cheap company that doesn't do any testing. I had once thought about getting lambo's for my car and then decided against it. Expect to pay $1000+ for a GOOD set that will not break down or need some adjusting. :2cents:

+1 to soup up the GT! My "beater" is a '93 SL. I just got a '99 bumper for it and an intake, with some nice fog lamps.

But I would be the last guy to discourage you from making your 2G look purrtty. But the lambo door kit, they guys are right, VLS sure seems like a solid company who know what they're doing. I'd call them up.

I like the widebody kit. The spoiler on that is badass, love the fenders too. Dual exhaust on that would look EVEN sweeter. Like a g35 look!
