It just looks like one will favor higher rpm than the other.

Can you plug in your rpm and boost range that you want?

boost range = anything

i just am wondering what would be a good balance of spool time and boost level

Your boost is going to be set by your wastegate. The smaller turbo is always going to spool faster

running it through my turbo calculator (making some assumptions of the VE of the motor) the 62-1 has the same peak boost capability of the H3, the main difference is, the 62 spools 2000 RPM's faster, and is *slightly* less efficient in the higher RPM's. But its not major.

If your VE is a lot lower than my assumptions though, the 62 will be into the surge line at higher boost. As with any turbo estimate, it is only a rough figure, and doesn't take into consideration the AR and volume of the housings. But as it stands, I'd go with the 62-1

what power do you want from the car?

300bhp? 400bhp? absolute maximum possible?

give us some info.

62-1 looks to be the better choice both when it comes to driveability and power. But I can't sy anything specific since it depends on the application.

In general I would prefered a newer design though such as the Garrett GT-series.
