4 cylinder to 6 cylinder4line 11-19-2006, 11:00 PM I am currently at a point in which I need to replace the engine in my Tiburon. I currently have the four cylinder engine. I have the option of buying either the 4 cylinder or the 6 cylinder for the same cost. How much is involved in switching the engine to a different size and is it worth it in the end? Thanks in advance lowsonoma1999 11-20-2006, 08:50 AM I am currently at a point in which I need to replace the engine in my Tiburon. I currently have the four cylinder engine. Thanks in advance You're going to need a new computer, wiring harness, motor mounts. Transmissions are different, but whether your 4cyl one will work, I don't know. Thats the minimum. Not worth it if you ask me. Rickna 11-23-2006, 10:09 AM I have to agreee with lowsanoma. Definetly not worth it. Take the $$ you would spend to put in a V6 and build up a 4 cyl with a turbo setup. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
