I checked my diagrams for my 1999 blazer.

According to those diagrams the fuel pump has 4 wires: two for the pump and two for the level sending unit (float).
The vapor pressure sensor is three wires: Black/white, grey, dark green

The pump wires are grey(B) and black(C) -the black is the ground. On pickup trucks it grounds to the frame nearby. On SUV's it travels back to the leftside dashboard to a test point and then back to a leftrear crossmember. Seems crazy but I guess if you find the test point under the dash, you can test to see if there is a bad fuel pump ground.

The float is purple(A) and black(D) -this black is not ground. Be careful not to mix the two blacks up.

NOTE: the colors I gave previously are for the 4.3 engine. The colors are different if it's the smaller engine.
