Hi All
I have a 1993 Toyota Camry, it seems that in cold weather that my ignition doesnt want to turn over... so I cannot turn my car on. I just stick my key in the ignition and it will not budge!! Well unless you jiggle it, and the steering wheel for 5-45 minutes...!! Do you have any suggestions? Should I put WD40 in the lock? If any one has any good advice please respond!

How worn is the key? Have you tried using a different key? Had a few people come into the dealership with the same complaint, cut them a new key using the code numbers and all was well. I'm on key number five for my seventeen year old Toyota. I have an unused key to make cheap copies of, so a new key costs just a couple of bucks instead of about thirty to have one cut from code.

Lube it with graphite powder. WD40 will gum it up.
I, like KimMG, have gone through several keys. You'll probably need a new key.

Make sure the steering wheel isn't locked in one direction or the other. My Camry has key problems also, but not quite what you're going through.
