Hi, 1st post here. MPV 94 3.0 timing belt failureamboyplayer 11-12-2006, 06:27 PM 1994 MPV 3.0 V6 I am thinking to replace the timing belt. It failed yesterday while I was trying to diagnose rough running and suspicous sounds. Now it won't start(obviously) and the ignition rotor does not turn when I crank the engine. How can I determine if my engine has damage. I suspect that it could be an interference engine. How can I know if it's interference type? Or the extent of damages? I have seen the post by mazdatech about a year ago saying that it's not interference. Smo0ve 11-14-2006, 07:16 PM 1994 MPV 3.0 V6 I am thinking to replace the timing belt. I just replaced the belt, the water pump, and all of the tensioners and pullies and I was good to go. amboyplayer 11-15-2006, 12:19 AM hi smoove, thanks for your reply. In the Napa auto part listing, they note that this IS an interference engine. Just to make sure, how did you know that it's not interference? Or valves not damaged? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
