Is it better for my engine (d15) to use a different oil than 10-w30 in the cold winter? How about 5-w20? Thanks for your help guys.

Depends where you live and how cold it gets. Generally though, I'd recomend a 5w-30.

so does honda.... (recommends 5w-30)
