last night at about 11pm on my way home i was on rt. 34 (i got pulled over like 2 days prior for speeding) and there's some tiny black dude drivin a 4 door gsr integra. at the same moment the light turned red. i really didn't want to race so i took off VERY slow in 1st. so did he, then i just gave it a little more gas to slowly pass him and he takes off all quick. so i just play catch up but really wasn't fair. the next light turns green before we get to it but now we're racing in a 40mph roll on. there was one really sharp turn and i was pulling on him but i was still behind him. i went around like a 65-70 degree turn at like 80. and it was a little hill sort of bump and my back end wanted to slide out. thanks to my suspension mods i was all good. his back end slid out a lot. and he was on the outside lane too. we went again but there was always a car in my lane so i couldnt catch him. i kept on slowing down so i can move to the left lane. he walked me that time and i got a little upset when he put on his hazards. so at the next red i looked over at him and threw a quick rev so he knew i was going for real this time. the other light turned yellow and at the red i got to my revs for launching and held it.

on green i was OUT. my best launch ever! spun just a little tire, but i was gone. i quickely got 3 cars ahead of him, shifted second, and my new stock clutch was a pussy and didnt chirp the gear but i still kept going. shifting to third my revs dropped a little low cuz my gay syncros or whatever. but it went into gear because i slammed it so hard. at about 100 i let off because the road got to a little busy part, where stores are and cops hide so i let him pass me but he knew i was pullin. i'm pretty sure he would have beat me in the long run.

Actually I am pretty sure that you could have beat him the whole way through. I can actually beat stock GSR's all day long. I only beat a modded GSR once but that was a driver error infact I heard him miss a gear.

I know for sure you can't beat a 2 door GSR, because i spank civic ex's all day, i even beat V8s. I raced my friends 5.0 GT and took him by 2 cars. By the way I drive a 99 GSR

not bad maybe take it down to a drag strip and post some 1/4 mile times ! :)

i didn't get a radar detector yet, and no i havn't stopped speeding. :( i got a court date the other day for 60 in a 40.

as for beating 2 doors, i'm pretty sure i can beat one also. i lost to a 2dr 95 prelude dohc vtec by a mere bumper! it had an intake and exhaust. i also don't think it was driver error since i repeated this 2 more times.

all i really want is a motor for my car so i can go brag some more about beating these cars by lengths.

btw: eclipse_gs- i pulled on an older 5.0 when i raced a friend of mine. don't ask how, i just did. lol

List you modes Civic Ex, i've also beaten the mustang GT 4.6 and 3000GT's, BMW 328. I lost to a RSX Type S by half a car.

That 5.0 GT that i ran was a 94, the last year they had 5.0. I also raced him from a rolling start i beat him real bad!

1995 was the last year for the 5.0 What are your mods and times?

The last year for the 5.0 was 94, and by the way i said it was conv. At car-stats.com it says it does a 15.1, my mods are K&N intake, 4-2-1 DC headers, Shunk2 exhaust, and screwed secondaries. the 4.6 i raced, i think it was auto, i didn't win by that much. I won by half a car, I also raced a prelude DOHC VTEC. I won by alittle, we raced on the freeway, i pulled just a bumper.

the prelude race was when i was stock, same with the mustang gt

It is 95 for the 5.0, and 96 is when they started using the 4.6 SOHC for the GT's and DOHC for the Cobras

If all you got is headers and exhaust on a gs I doubt you would beat a mustang GT. Now, if it was as you said a convertable, and an auto trans, and he didnt know how to drive, then yes it would be feasable. And like I said in a previous post, 95 is tha last year for 5.0

I don't know why ya Mustang boys find it hard to believe that an import can take ya! The mustang GT Was stick, if you go to www.car-stats.com you will see that the Mustang GT Conv does a 15.1, and you well see that a GSR does a 15.5. i pretty sure i'm in the high 14s.
