Turbo charger?compjake 11-08-2006, 04:12 AM I was just recently given a turbo chager from an older Subaru (unknown model) and im in need of some help to get info on it. since i dont have a Subaru i figured i would sell it but not knowing what its worth then i dont know how much to sell it for. All i know about it is its made by IHI and it has "Turbo Spec. VI34 8611" ingraved in it. i know its not much to go on but i know you guys, and gals are smart; so please help me. 4Wheel 11-08-2006, 12:14 PM I was just recently given. You probably paid exactly what it is worth. I myself would not risk putting it on let alone paying for it. You see if I am going to go to the trouble of adding boost I already have a very expensive investment in my performance engine. I am NOT going to risk having the turbo be bad.:banghead: Do your internet searches on those numbers, check ebay and list it as unknown condition. :nono: Good luck compjake 11-08-2006, 05:35 PM to me it is unknown condition but the person i got it from took it off there car the day before i picked it up and its supposed to be in 100% working condition. but as i dont have a car it will fit i cant test it. 4Wheel 11-08-2006, 08:27 PM Cool, Then list it as "Working when removed" and why it was removed. This may be a great deal for you and the buyer! compjake 11-08-2006, 08:29 PM thats what i figured but most people are going to want more information on it and what im asking for it. i cant tell them what i dont know lol. 4Wheel 11-08-2006, 08:32 PM Yeah and you don't want to sell it for a LOT less than you could have. Good Luck with the number research. compjake 11-08-2006, 08:40 PM as long as i get something out of it im happy, i got it free. how much does a turbo go for new? ive been looking for this one for about 3 days now and i cant find anything on it. i figured i could sell it for about 30-40% of a new or refurbished one, thats not too much is it? 4Wheel 11-10-2006, 02:09 PM Well the yards get as a rule of thumb 50% of new. BUT spply and demand does change that. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
