overheating problem on '95 200sx 1.6norurb 11-07-2006, 09:44 PM Not sure if it's the water pump or radiator. I changed out the thermostat and radiator cap. I flushed the system and bled it by unplugging the bleeder valve near the thermostat. One radiator hose is hot while the other stays cold. My heater does blow hot air, the temp gauge does not go all the way hot. What do you guys think? Water pump or radiator? Thanks. norurb 11-08-2006, 09:43 PM Anybody? nismo_pilot 11-12-2006, 01:27 AM the top hose is hot and the bottom cold? norurb 11-13-2006, 02:09 PM the top hose is hot and the bottom cold? Yes, I think either the radiator is bad or the water pump is bad. But which one is it? slideways... 11-13-2006, 07:21 PM does your fan turn on? norurb 11-16-2006, 02:05 AM does your fan turn on? It does not. I think it is because the hot coolant water is not reaching the "coolant temp sensor", or whatever it is called. slideways... 11-16-2006, 08:29 AM or the sensor is bad...that happens. dreww 11-20-2006, 06:22 PM if the top hose isn't getting hot, then the thermostat isn't opening....at least thats the first place to look. You said you replaced it though. usually, water pumps leak before or as they are going out. Did you notice this? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
